At the New York City High School for the Performing Arts, students get specialized training that often leads to
success as actors, singers, etc. This movie follows four students from the time when they audition to get into the
school, through graduation. They are the brazen Coco Hernandez, shy Doris Finsecker, sensitive gay Montgomery MacNeil,
and brash, abrasive Raul Garcia.

musicisti in vario modo. I selezionatori, assai severi, non si lasciano ingannare né dall'audacia di alcuni né
dalla timidezza di altri; non danno peso ai racconti di già avvenuti successi e alle numerose bugie. Nonostante le
molte eliminazioni, gli ammessi sono numerosi ed ha inizio lo studio che durerà quattro anni. I ragazzi e le ragazze
non tardano a scoprire che dovranno continuare gli studi normali e, per quanto concerne le materie tipiche della scuola,
una "Università dell'arte", non potranno limitarsi alla specialità sognata, ma dovranno eccellere in tutte le
specialistiche discipline.....
